This is the first time I've ever tried using Vue and I've come away very impressed with what you can create with it in a short space of time. It's interface is extremely easy to get to grips with and gives you plenty of control over the scene you're creating without drowning you in details.
The scenes above were built, lit, textured and rendered fully in view before being completed in Photoshop.
Above are the raw colour outputs from Vue (you can render in Maya/3DS Max using VRay/Mental Ray but I need to work out how to do this properly as I kept crashing Maya whilst using VRay with it).
The ZDepth and Alpha passes it created automatically as part of the render.
