Showreel breakdown:


The following is an accurate breakdown of what I was responsible for in each shot and the software used.


1. Revolvers (Personal Work)
Responsibilities:  Concept, modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and compositing.
Software Used: Maya 2012, Photoshop CS5, ZBrush 4.2
Notes: a high poly model for a personal character piece, the majority of the modelling was done in Maya with some extra detailing added in ZBrush along with the first colour pass. The textures when finished in Photoshop and then the model was rendered in Maya using Mental Ray. 


2. Iconiscreen forming (Dinamo Productions, Iconicles):
Responsibilities: Modelling, self illumination and UV layout.
Software Used: Maya 2012
Notes: this was a high-poly prop that had to accurately match the live-action set version which was on screen when the Iconiscreen wasn't forming.


3. T-Rex  (University of Glamorgan, 3rd Year) : 
Responsibilities:  Modelling, sculpt, UV layout, texturing and running away from a dinosaur.
Software Used: 3DS Max 2009, Zbrush 3.5 and Photoshop CS4. 
Notes: A high detailed model produced as part of a collaborative film project in my 3rd year of university.


4. Robot (Personal Work, Red Bull Canimation):
Responsibilities:  Concept, modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting, animation, rendering and compositing.
Software Used: Maya 2012, After Effects CS5 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: A short animation produced as part of my entry for the Red Bull Canimation contest.


5. Robot Mover  (University of Glamorgan, 3rd Year) : 
Responsibilities:  Modelling, UV layout, texturing and lighting.
Software Used: 3DS Max 2009 and Photoshop CS4.
Notes: A low-poly model produced as part of my final year project at the University of Glamorgan.


6. Rumple Shakes off Cake (Dinamo Productions, Iconicles):
Responsibilities:  Particle set-up of the cake flying off the character & Match-move.
Software Used: Maya 2012.
Notes: The particles were set-up in time with and with the emit shape of the animated texture on the character.


7. Jug & Utensils (Dinamo Productions, Iconicles):
Responsibilities:  Match-move, modelling, UV layout and texturing of the jug and utensils.
Software Used: Maya 2012 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: modelled to match and replace a live-action prop when the character interacted with it.


8. Splish & Splash on Counter (Dinamo Productions, Iconicles):
Responsibilities:  Match-move, modelling, UV layout and texturing of the cup.
Software Used: Maya 2012 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: modelled to match and replace a live-action prop when the character interacted with it.


9. Cardiff bay Transition (Dinamo Productions, Story of Wales):
Responsibilities: Texturing, UV layout, collaborative - animation, modelling and compositing .
Software Used: Maya 2012, Photoshop CS5 and After Effects CS5.
Notes:  Modelled the boat nose on the left and added additional detail to the existing boats and textured both. I also had to tweak the water animation and position and animate some of the boats, before adding them into the set-up After Effects scene.


10. Musical Instruments (Dinamo Production, Abadas):
Responsibilities:  Modelling, UV layout, texturing and lighting.
Software Used: Maya 2012, Photoshop CS5, ZBrush 4.2
Notes: instrument props built for Abadas episodes.


11. Borrowers Pitch; (Dinamo Productions, Pitch Piece):
Responsibilities:  Environment modelling, UV layout and texturing.
Software Used: Maya 2012, Zbrush 4 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: High detail environment model and texturing for close-up shot for Borrowers pitch.


12. Cave Environment (University of Glamorgan, 3rd Year):
Responsibilities:  Concept, modelling, UV layout, lighting and texturing.
Software Used: Maya 2009 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: designed and built for one of the introduction to Maya modules at the University of Glamorgan.


13. Boat and Lighthouse (Dinamo Productions, Abadas):
Responsibilities:  Modelling, UV layout, texturing & lighting.
Software Used: Maya 2012 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: boat and lighthouse props built for Abadas episodes, and featured in the opening credits.


14. Rumple on a Skateboard (Dinamo Productions, Iconicles):
Responsibilities:  Modelling, UV layout and texturing of Skateboard.
Software Used: Maya 2012 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: Prop to match an existing skateboard used by the presenter Nat.


15. Sea Turtle (Dinamo Productions, Abadas):
Responsibilities:  Modelling, sculpt, UV layout and texturing.
Software Used: Maya 2012, Zbrush 4.2 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: Prop built for Abadas, had to be animated in CG yet match the 2D animated style of the other props hence the fins and head were all separate sections.


16. Scavourer Character (University of Glamorgan, 3rd Year): 
Responsibilities:  Concept, modelling, UV layout, high-poly sculpt, rigging, lighting, particles and texturing.
Software Used: 3DS Max 2009, Z-Brush 3.5, FumeFX and Photoshop CS4.
Notes: designed and built as part of my final year project at the University of Glamorgan, the final character was around 10000 quads and had a custom rig with IK/FK switching and a spline controlled spine and tail.


17. Owl (Dinamo Productions, Abadas):
Responsibilities:  Modelling, sculpt, UV layout, fur and texturing.
Software Used: Maya 2012, Zbrush 4.2 and Photoshop CS5.
Notes: Prop built for Abadas, animated in CelAction.
